Honey Mustard Chicken and Risoni Salad

An oldie but a goodie, and with the leftover honey mustard marinade, I just turned it into a honey mustard sauce for the beans.

Chicken Fajitas

Craving. Meat. Give us meat!
This was surprisingly good considering how quick it took us to prepare it AND cook it! (not to mention eating it...)

I think all up, we prepped, cooked and finished eating (oh, AND did the dishes!) all in less than 1.5hours. That could possibly be a record, considering we can take hours just prepping food alone sometimes lol

Can definitely do this one again when we're feeling like lazy buggers :Þ

On goes the chicken!

Chicken waiting to be dressed with something...

Add salsa to the tortilla

Mmmmm Salsa so good

Sprinkle cheese

With cheese sprinkled sparingly on, it's time to WRAP IT UP!

The final product.
Looks great eh?
Tasted just as good!

19 November 2011 - Saturday Night Pot Luck

Lu had a few friends over for a pot luck/ mini house warming party (I think this is the way we're gonna be going about it... individual house warming parties)

Anyways, back to the food. This was the spread!

Looks good eh?
So what is it you ask?
Well, it's a rice paper roll with prawn, mango, caviar and kewpie sauce and it was DELISH!

Here we go with the wrapping...
Wrapping of the most awesome parcel of flavours.

And here is another parcel ready to be wrapped, oh yeah we are in the wrapping mode tonight!
Sweetened coconut filling, pandan crepe
The flavours of my heart and soul *Sigh*

And here are the finished product, a few dodgy looking ones but most of them turned out pretty darn good if we do say so ourselves :)
Oh, and forgot, we also made a salty coconut cream sauce to go with it.
*DROOLS*

The entire spread...
Fruit punch, mustache cookies, felafel balls 3 ways, jerk chicken, mango prawn rice paper rolls, pumpkin risotto, and pandan crepes.

Didn't make it in the photo include: Earl grey tea pannacotta (in the fridge), and bean salad (we just forgot about it cos there was so much food)

Up close and personal with the rice paper rolls.
Yum-ness

Jerk chicken, the most incredible flavours you can possibly imagine

Spinach and ricotta pie, tasty!

In honour of Movember, and since us ladies cannot grow one, someone made mustache cookies instead

A little bit here and a little bit there
Ricotta Spinach pie, jerk chicken, rice paper rolls, felafels with garlic yoghurt sauce (felafels of sweet potato, zucchini and carrot), and pumpkin risotto

12 November 2011 - BBQ Chicken drummettes

What to do with a kilo of chicken drummettes?
Hmm....

Add ad-hoc bbq sauce, roast et TADAH!
Finger lickingly good BARBECUE CHICKEN!

So, from top left, bbq chicken drummettes, mashed pumpkin, scalloped potatoes, asparagus with mustard sauce and feta

Scalloped pototoes are always great, we only made these cos we had cream to use up...

Asparagus with mustard sauce and feta (and feta was to be used up....)

Oh, the things one can do with a bunch of left over ingredients... :)
