Saturday 18th Feb Feast

Sorry all! ^^

Was too busy with the cooking and then the devouring to be bothered with taking photos last Saturday- so unlike me!
However, I did poach these pictures of the delish off the lucky friends. =D

Goats cheese whipped with green and red onion, rolled in roasted pistachio. Served with basalmic sauce on rockmelon & crackers. WOW.

Spanish tapas styled chorizo. Simple and oh so good! Can't go wrong with chorizo!

Stuffed squids- so tender because they were baked for 2 hours. The stuffing is a miscellaneous combo of prawns, minced chicken, chutney (my precious Sotuh African one), sultanas, herbs & spices.

Fennel, apple and mint salad with a plum & balsamic dressing. Simple and refreshing!

The seafood paella- although you can't really see the rice under all that seafood. The flavour was pitch perfect, thanks to the prawn stock that took over 4 hours to prepare. ^^

Ignore that girl. The stars of this pic are the paella (looking more like seafood hotpot) & the Korean pancake! =D

Our guests were so sweet and brought along yummy Korean pancakes to add to the feast. Yummmmmo and... oh-so full. *rubs belly*

No feast is complete without dessert(s).

Lemon cheesecake topped with caramelized figs (on hindsight, should stick to fresh figs), pandan creme brulee, fresh lychee (the pink fruit) and caramelized mango (again, on hindsight, shouldn't have caramelized the too-ripe mango).

Special thanks to the special friends who attended and enjoyed the food! Nothing beats the company of good friends over a table full of food. =)
